Role Purpose

This Process Engineer role will focus on early-stage process development of high-performance and high-density optical assemblies. Demonstration of technologies and fast paced new product introductions are key to business growth. The increasing demands of the artificial intelligence (AI) market are driving advanced optical assemblies to enable faster data processing and connectivity. The successful candidate will contribute to innovations that address the unique needs of AI applications thus helping Corning expand its presence in this rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Early-stage process development of fiber optic arrays and connector assemblies
• Design of fixturing / tooling with hands-on assembly, alignment, and verification testing
• Review of materials supporting product improvements, cost reductions, and reliability
