Chemical Process EngineerThe Chemical Process Engineer will report into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:Lead and resolve day-to-day operational and process-related challenges.Manage chemical process, production flow, and wastewater treatment improvement projects.Oversee capital projects involving equipment replacement, process improvements, and facility enhancements.Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce operating costs, and optimize production performance.Develop equipment specifications and support equipment selection, procurement, and installation activities.Design and implement automation and process control solutions where appropriate.Create process flow diagrams, control schemes, and technical documentation.Partner with Environmental Health & Safety teams to establish and maintain safe operating practices.Coordinate activities with maintenance personnel, electricians, and external contractors.Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment remain compliant with applicable regulations.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, operational excellence, and productivity.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects and process improvement initiatives.Strong understanding of chemical processing, unit operations, and analytical techniques.Ability to perform engineering calculations including mass balances, process efficiency evaluations, and chemical consumption analyses.Experience preparing process flow diagrams and selecting process equipment.Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable CAD software.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop technical procedures and train personnel.Experience within chemical manufacturing, metals processing, wastewater treatment, or related process industries preferred.Experience with process controls, automation, electrolytic systems, or programming languages is considered a plus.What's on OfferCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits planCareer growth opportunitiesAccess to high level management401K matchExcellent work life balance
