Process Engineer CAPEX

In partnership with our client, a global leader in metals manufacturing, we are seekingIn support of our Client, ResourceTek is currently seeking a highly skilled and results-driven professional who can build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with Engineering, Process Technology, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, OEMs, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve shared objectives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional decision-making, analytical, metallurgical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated track record of taking ownership of process and equipment challenges and driving them to successful resolution.

This individual must be an effective communicator who can work across multiple departments, disciplines, and organizational levels while translating process requirements, existing plant conditions, and product mix demands into practical engineering and equipment solutions. Success in this role requires the technical expertise and confidence to challenge OEM assumptions and proposed solutions when they do not adequately align with operational process conditions or product requirements.

• Experience working on large-scale steel industry capital projects from concept through commissioning, startup, and performance guarantee
• Strong understanding of EAF and continuous casting processes and technology
  Experience with process equipment, metallurgical systems, and production equipment in a heavy industrial environment
• Experience working with OEMs, engineering firms, contractors, operations, and maintenance organizations
• Strong understanding of process flow, operating parameters, equipment functionality, product requirements, and process performance requirements
• Experience evaluating equipment capability against existing plant conditions and required product mix
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment layouts, process descriptions, technical specifications, and engineering drawings
• Experience coordinating engineering, construction, maintenance, operations, technology suppliers, and project teams
