    Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop, control and prioritize a CIP list for your assigned area.
    • Lead CIP activities for your assigned area. 
    • Control SPI documents by ensuring all documents are current, concise, and agree with BOM’s.
    • Baseline and monitor process parameters identified as critical to quality (run charts, control charts, etc)
    • Lead actions to eliminate special causes.
    • Identify and lead cost saving projects using DMAIC methodology.
    • Control all other process related documents and ensure they are current.
    • Provide process support for trials.
    • Support root cause analysis of quality complaints.


    BACKGROUND PROFILE:

    • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline.
    • 3+ years in Engineering in a related industry
    • Strong leadership, people and communications skills, problem solving skills
    • Strong AutoCAD skills
    • Experience and understanding of process systems, metrics, CIP and SPC.
    • Six Sigma training preferred


    Physical Demands:

    • Engineer must be able to design and improve processes and equipment at various work stations throughout plant. 
    • Engineer must be able to diagnose equipment malfunctions throughout plant. 
    • Engineer must be able to manage machine installs.
    • Engineer must be able to complete small project work.
    • Engineer must be able to train employees on machines.
    • Engineer must be able to manage product change and product development.
    • Engineer must be able to communicate with various areas of plant.
