Process Controls Engineer

The ideal candidate must have knowledge of process manufacturing field instrumentation, technology and batch process manufacturing expertise in all of the following project phases: Requirements documentation, detailed design generation, implementation, system integration, testing and on-site startup. Candidate will have strong engineering and technical background in PLC programming: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Pro-Logic, Compact Logic, Productivity.

Process Controls Engineer

Greenville, SC | On-Site 

Full-Time | $80 – $100K, depending on experience 

Summary:

• The Process Controls Engineer shall have and demonstrate skills in requirements gathering, design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions for the manufacturing industry including batch software, PLC / DCS systems, HMI packages, SCADA systems, Visual Basic and PC networking technology. 
• The ideal candidate must have knowledge of process manufacturing field instrumentation, technology and batch process manufacturing expertise in all of the following project phases: Requirements documentation, detailed design generation, implementation, system integration, testing and on-site startup. 
• Daily responsibilities include solutions implementation and support of the project team objectives.
• This position may provide technical direction or leadership on a project basis for one or more process control engineers.

Job Duties:

• Design and write logic for HMI’s displays for machines and remote interfaces including implementations.
• Responsible for the development and creation of electrical BOMs, as well as the initial creation of quality / inspection documentation.
• Candidate will be heavily involved in electrical design utilizing AutoCAD.
• Assisting Foremost manufacturing with set-up and inspection of equipment.
• Customer service – answering customers’ questions, troubleshooting.
• Provide cost estimates based on Customer requirements and available time / resources.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in a manufacturing facility, with demonstrated experience functioning in a team environment, developing strong customer relations
• Candidate will have strong engineering and technical background in PLC programming: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Pro-Logic, Compact Logic, Productivity
• Hands-on experience in PLC programs using ladder, sequential function chart, function block diagram and structural test logic
• Hands-on experience with the Factory Talk software for Industrial Monitors
• Must be able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
• Experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
• Trade school or Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
• Must have proven experience with any of the following PLCs: Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, AutomationDirect, Mitsubishi, Omron, Aromta, Toshiba, etc. Must have proven experience with any of the following DCS Systems: ABB, Foxboro, Honeywell, Emerson, Westinghouse, Bristol Babcock, etc. Must have proven experience with any of the following HMI or SCADA software packages Wonderware, Rockwell, Intellution, GE Cimplicity, Ci-Tech, Iconics, Siemens, US Data, etc.
• Manufacturing and R&D experience a plus
