    We are looking for a Chemical Engineering college student for a 12-week full-time Process Engineer internship opportunity at our high purity cellulose mill in Fernandina Beach, Florida.



    RYAM’s Fernandina mill is one the leading global manufacturers of high purity cellulose, a natural polymer commonly found in cell phones, computer screens, filters, food, and pharmaceuticals. It was constructed in 1937 near downtown Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida. The plant produces 155,000 metric tons of softwood cellulose specialties per year and employs more than 300 people.

You will have the ability to focus on process optimization, quality improvement, cost reduction, and environmental performance, while learning the manufacturing process and building technical, analytical, and project management skills.

    You’ll be someone who can bring:

    • Currently enrolled in college
    • Majoring in Chemical Engineering
    • Have a 3.0 GPA or better
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
    • Previous internship experience is preferred, but not required.
