The Auburn Municipal Court is looking for a Probation Services Supervisor to add to the team! This is a unique opportunity to assist the Judges and Court Administrator in developing probation services guidelines and policies ahead of the reopening of Auburn Municipal Court. IMPORTANT RECRUITMENT INFORMATION: The City of Auburn is conducting this recruitment to establish a qualified hiring pool in anticipation of City Council consideration and approval of funding for this position as part of the City's budget process in September 2026.
Candidates may participate in the recruitment, interview, and selection process prior to final budget approval; however, no appointment or offer of employment will be made unless and until the position and associated funding receive all required City approvals.
The resulting eligibility/hiring pool may be used to fill this position following approval and may also be used to fill similar vacancies, as appropriate.

Primary Duties
In this job, you will:
Supervise, coordinate, and participate in the daily work of the Probation Services Division, assigning and monitoring caseloads, reviewing work for quality and timeliness, and assisting staff with complex or sensitive cases.
Develop and implement efficient and effective divisional procedures, ensuring established goals, priorities, procedures, performance expectations, and objectives are met, in coordination with the Court Administrator; analyzes the effectiveness of the operations and activities of the division; and recommends changes.
Maintain an active caseload and performs Probation Officer duties as necessary to balance workloads, provide coverage during absences, address staffing shortages, or manage high-priority or complex cases.
Oversee jail alternative programs including, but not limited to, Electronic Home Monitoring and random drug testing including contracts, expenditures, and audits.

Posses and retain a valid Washington state driver's license without impending loss at time of appointment.
Successfully complete the Correctional Services Academy training within six (6) months of employment as required by WAC 139-10-210
Successfully complete Ohio Risk Assessment System End User training within six (6) months of employment.
