CSRA Probation Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and professional Probation Officer to supervise a misdemeanor probation caseload. This position works closely with probationers, courts, law enforcement, government officials, and CSRA staff to ensure compliance with court requirements and company policies.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- Minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college coursework, or
- Four years of law enforcement experience.
Applicable statutory exemptions may apply. Documentation of education, law enforcement experience, and POST certification is required, as applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise misdemeanor probationers and monitor compliance with court-ordered conditions.
- Maintain accurate case notes and records in the case management system.
- Collect court-ordered fines and fees.
- Prepare violation reports, warrants, case modifications, and case closures.
- Conduct drug and alcohol testing as needed.
- Attend court or probation violation hearings when required.
- Communicate with judges, court personnel, law enforcement, and other agencies regarding assigned cases.
- Assist with court/jail intake and electronic monitoring equipment when needed.
- Perform case audits and other duties as assigned.
- Travel may be required.
