Description

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Probate Paralegal opportunity with a well-established Family Law Firm located in Melbourne, FL.

The Probate Paralegal is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:
  • Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients, financial institutions, courts, government offices, and other third parties.
  • Assisting attorneys with probate administration matters from opening through completion.
  • Prepare probate petitions, notices, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with preparing and filing documents with probate courts and government agencies.
  • Monitor probate and trust administration deadlines and ensure timely completion of required tasks.
  • Communicate and draft correspondence to probate courts, clerks, financial institutions, government agencies, beneficiaries, creditors, and other third parties.
  • Scheduling client meetings, coordinating materials, and preparing attorneys for meetings in accordance with their preferred workflow and style.
  • Performing basic to intermediate legal research.
  • Organizing, maintaining, and updating client files and case records.
Required qualifications for the position include:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in probate or trust administration.
  • Strong knowledge of probate processes and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, research, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred qualifications for the position include:
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Prior experience with legal case-management software and HotDocs software.
  • Notary Public commission/certification preferred.
Pay Rate Range: $31.25 - $36.00 per hour.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
