    Position: Senior Attorney – Probate Litigation, Estate Planning

With a dedicated team comprising six full-time employees and two part-time staff, our firm is primed for expansion to meet escalating client demands in a competitive market.

     

    Position Summary:As a Senior Attorney, you will spearhead our probate practice, focusing on a combination of uncontested and contested wills, estate disputes, and guardianship issues. This role requires a profound understanding of probate law and a proven track record in litigation, making probate litigation the primary focus of your practice. You will lead the probate litigation practice by offering expert advice and representation to a diverse client base. Leveraging your specialized knowledge, you will design robust estate planning strategies to protect client interests and ensure compliance with current laws. 


    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Draft and review legal documents related to probate, wills, and trusts. 
    • Provide comprehensive probate & estate planning services to clients. 
    • Supervise and mentor junior legal staff, supporting their professional growth. 
    • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored solutions meeting their unique needs. 
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for seamless service delivery. 


    Required Qualifications: 

    • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. 
    • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. 
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Georgia probate law. 
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning. 
    • Demonstrated ability to expeditiously handle complex legal issues with discretion and integrity. 


    Preferred Skills: 

    • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, colleagues, and external partners. 
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation abilities. 
    • Proactive and independent, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. 


    Compensation and Benefits: 

    • Salary range: $125,000 - $175,000, based on experience, with opportunities for additional performance-based compensation. 
    • 15 days (approximately 2 weeks) of Paid Time Off and 12 firm holidays annually. 
    • Discounted rates for supplemental insurance through Aflac. 
    • Eligibility for participation in the firm’s IRA after 2 years of service.
