    Description

    PRN X-Ray Technologist

    Location: DFW Area, Texas
    Schedule: PRN / As Needed Monday – Friday 
    Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience

    Requirements

    • Current Texas Medical Board (GMR) certification
    • Current ARRT (R) certification
    • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
    • Current BLS certification preferred
    • Excellent patient care and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a dependable, patient-focused PRN X-Ray Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This position offers flexible PRN scheduling with opportunities to work at multiple outpatient imaging centers.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations following physician orders and established protocols.
    • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience.
    • Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining image quality standards.
    • Practice radiation safety by following ALARA principles and utilizing appropriate shielding techniques.
    • Verify patient identity, exam orders, and clinical history prior to imaging.
    • Accurately document patient information and imaging procedures in the electronic medical record.
    • Maintain imaging equipment and report any equipment concerns or malfunctions.
    • Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
    • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to provide outstanding patient care.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
    • Assist with other duties as needed to support departmental operations.
