Position: Security Guard
Reports to: Clinic Manager
Classification: Full-time, exempt
Compensation: $20-$23 per hour
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Schedule
This is a PRN role and thus is not guaranteed a set number of hours per week. When possible, shifts will be scheduled with advance notice. At times this position will be asked for short-term availability (i.e. to cover when there is an unexpected call-off by our full time security staff).

Job Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for watching over Hope Clinic buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry. The Security Guard will also assist staff with de-escalation efforts if visitors and/or patients become unruly, and isolation of the individual(s) when de-escalation efforts are unsuccessful. During emergencies, medical or otherwise, the Security Guard will help to keep staff, patients, and guests safe and provide clear direction if evacuation is needed. If environmentally hazardous situations arise, the security guard will assist management to ensure the safety of staff, patients, and guests.
