    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Exposure to multiple specialties, maternal, neonatal, and pediatrics, which includes managing high-risk pregnancies, neonatal care, pediatric support, postpartum recovery, and surgical procedures. Fast-paced, high-volume environment that will sharpen critical thinking, time management, and decision-making skills.

    Flexible PRN NIGHT Schedule: 6-12hr shifts per 4-week schedule plus rotating weekends.

    What qualifications you will need

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the states of practice and/or has an active compact license in accordance with law and regulation. BLS required upon hire. NRP certification required within 1 month of hire. ACLS and AWHONN Fetal monitoring required for LDAP. PALs required for Pediatrics. 2 years acute care experience in Mother Baby Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and Womens Surgery.

    Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340-bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson Countys only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Womens & Childrens healthcare services. We offer the regions only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year, our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
