PRN Registered Nurse - PACU (RN)

What You'll Do

As a PACU RN, you will:

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment
• Deliver individualized, evidence-based nursing care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative recovery and discharge instructions
• Coordinate care plans and advocate for patients throughout the recovery process
• Supervise and support care provided by ancillary staff as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a compact licensure state
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Previous PACU, post-anesthesia, critical care, or surgical nursing experience
