We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Clinical Professional Development Educator, you'll play a vital role in advancing the growth, confidence, and clinical excellence of our nursing, interprofessional, and non-licensed clinical teams. You'll design and deliver evidence-based education that equips caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care-creating a culture of continuous learning that improves more lives in more ways. Your responsibilities will include: The PRN Nurse Educator functions as an educational and clinical resource for program clientele and the community. Educational services include the implementation and instruction of established curriculum designed to meet the needs of the identified service population. The educator will function as a liaison to facilitate women's health, care for client, patient and their families and/or participant of health issues related to women. Demonstrates knowledge and practical application of the theories and principles of adult education. Demonstrates professional growth, initiative and creativity. Able to troubleshoot and problem solve IT and audiovisual issues independently.What qualifications you will need:Must be a graduate from nursing program. Bachelor's degree preferred. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Professional certification in area of specialty preferred. Minimum 1 year experience in OB/GYN or women's health care. Experience with group dynamics, public speaking and/or public relations preferred. Experience working with IT, audiovisual and digital media preferred. Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services. We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
