The ETSU College of Nursing, Office of Practice invites applications for a PRN Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to support the University Health Center, located on the ETSU Johnson City, TN campus.
The PRN Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides advanced psychiatric care in accordance with the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, delivering psychotherapeutic treatments, and maintaining thorough documentation. The PRN PMHNP collaborates with psychiatrists, clinic staff, social workers, and leadership, supervises assigned staff, participates in quality assurance initiatives, and is dedicated to serving vulnerable populations.
Key Functions and Expected Performance:
This is a temporary position working 15 - 22.5 hours per week and has the potential to become a permanent position.

Rapid mobility may also be required on occasion. Physical expectations of an assigned clinical facility may vary and be subject to change.
Stress levels may be high due to frequently dealing with numerous students, patients, family members, and other healthcare providers. This position demands concentration and the ability to work in emotionally-charged situations.
