Position Overview: The Night Shift Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care within a surgical hospital setting during overnight hours. This role is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for pre-operative, post-operative, and recovery patients throughout the night shift. The RN ensures patient safety, comfort, and well-being while maintaining continuity of care and compliance with clinical standards and hospital policies.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and compassionate care, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced overnight environment. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, responding promptly to changes in patient status, documenting care accurately, and providing patient and family education as needed. The Night Shift RN works closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes and maintain a safe, healing environment during overnight operations.
