Private Lesson Music Teacher- Piano

Chelmsford Community Education is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. The Chelmsford Public School District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.

Position: Private Lesson Music Teacher- Piano Reports To: Robyn Adams, Director of Chelmsford Community Education Job Goal: Teaching private, half hour piano lessons through the Chelmsford Community Education Program.

General Description: Private lesson music teacher for Chelmsford Community Education beginning Spring 2027. Teaching private half-hour lessons for Piano through Chelmsford Community Education program at the rate of $25 per 30 minute lesson.

Job Responsibilities: 1.Teach piano skills and music literacy at age appropriate levels 2.Must have the ability to teach beginning piano 3.Differentiate for students of varying abilities 4.Collaborate with Community Education staff, parents and building faculty to coordinate lessons 5.Must complete a CORI check

Qualifications: 1.Bachelors or Masters degree or equivalent with a major in Music 2.Excellent communication skills and capacity to foster cooperative teamwork 3.State licensure as music educator (preferred) 4.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Community Education Director may find appropriate and acceptable
