Private Equity Vice President

Overview

A growing lower middle market private equity firm that is looking to add a Vice President to its investment team. The firm invests in founder-led and family-owned businesses across the Industrials, Manufacturing, and Aerospace & Defense sectors and is seeking an experienced investor to help lead transactions and portfolio initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate platform and add-on investment opportunities.
• Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting analysis.
• Lead commercial, financial, and operational due diligence efforts.
• Manage transaction execution from LOI through closing.
• Prepare investment committee materials and investment recommendations.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
• Assist with add-on acquisitions, integration planning, and strategic growth projects.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to firm-building initiatives.

Qualificaitons

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related investment role.
• Strong transaction experience, including financial modeling, LBO analysis, due diligence, and deal execution.
• Experience evaluating and monitoring lower middle market investments and portfolio companies.
• Background in Aerospace, Defense, Government Services (ADGS), industrials, or related sectors preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and investment memorandum writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with strong leadership potential and a collaborative mindset.
