Title: Private Equity Senior Associate / Vice President

Company Summary: A lower middle market Private Equity firm in Chicago is seeking a Senior Associate or Vice President to join its dynamic and growing team. The firm invests in lower middle market opportunities within the manufacturing, distribution, and business services sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a lean, highly active investment platform, with significant responsibility, hands-on deal experience, and exposure to the full investment lifecycle.

The Private Equity Senior Associate or VP will be responsible for:

• Execution of broader market and industry research
• Financial modeling, valuation analysis, and returns analysis for various investment targets
• Take point on due diligence processes
• Monitor existing investment portfolio
• Assisting the team with operating/portfolio company work

The Private Equity Senior Associate or VP should have the following qualifications:

• 1-3 years of Investment Banking experience performing M&A with a reputable middle market or lower middle market bank; related transaction advisory consulting experience will also be considered
• 1-3 years of Private Equity experience at a lower middle market fund
• Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
• Superior financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills (there will be a modeling test)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional work ethic
• Prior experience or interest in the industrials, manufacturing, distribution, and business services space.
