    About the Firm:

    We are currently partnered with a leading Private Equity platform out of Washington, DC that is seeking a Private Equity Analyst to join it's deal team. The firm focuses broadly across the energy , infrastructure, and real assets markets and has been backed by incredibly impressive institutional investors. With just under $1B of capital deployed and several successful investments, the team is looking to add this Private Equity Analyst to their highly collaborative and entrepreneurial culture.

    Role Overview

    The Investment Analyst will support the evaluation, execution, and monitoring of investments across a variety of structured and real asset strategies. The investment analyst will work closely with senior investment professionals on financial analysis, transaction execution, due diligence, and portfolio management initiatives. The role is ideal for candidates looking to build deep investment experience within a lean, high-performing team while gaining exposure to unique transactions in the infrastructure and energy transition ecosystem.

    Investment Analyst Responsibilities

    • Perform financial analysis, market research, and preliminary investment assessments to support the evaluation of new opportunities across infrastructure, energy transition, and structured finance sectors.
    • Develop and maintain detailed financial models used for transaction underwriting, return analysis, sensitivity testing, and investment decision-making.
    • Assist with due diligence efforts by coordinating information requests, reviewing third-party materials, and synthesizing findings for senior team members.
    • Support transaction execution through the preparation of investment committee materials, presentations, and documentation associated with active investments.
    • Monitor portfolio company and investment performance, updating financial models and preparing reporting materials for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with senior professionals, external advisors, operating partners, and counterparties throughout the investment lifecycle.

    Investment Analyst Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline.
    • 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure investing, private equity, asset management, or a similar analytical environment.
    • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency.
    • Experience evaluating asset-backed, infrastructure, energy, or structured finance investments is preferred.
    • Ability to analyze large datasets, identify key investment drivers, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
