This position is based in our Boston headquarters. We believe in-person collaboration is a competitive advantage. Enterprise employees are typically in-office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays remote.
We are looking for a highly motivated Privacy Operations Manager to support our global privacy program and lead our Privacy Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Privacy and Program Manager, this role will own core Privacy tools (both homegrown and third party) and drive daily operations like data mapping, consumer rights requests, privacy assessments, privacy policy maintenance, and cookies/pixel reviews. As the leader of the Privacy Ops function, you will collaborate with a number of internal teams such as legal, cybersecurity, and marketing technology teams to support incident responses, lead strategic projects, and drive data governance, consent management and other privacy-related initiatives.
This hybrid position will be based in our Boston office. At Wayfair, hybrid for enterprise employees requires a commitment to be in the office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays remote.
What You'll Do
Manage the operational implementation of relevant privacy requirements in assigned jurisdictions (e.g., US, Canada, EU/UK, China, and India).
Stay abreast of privacy and AI regulations, standards and industry best practices with support from legal and privacy leadership and communicate and train internal stakeholders.
Lead, coach and develop a team of Privacy Analysts, establishing priorities and KPIs, supporting professional development and fostering a high-performing operational team.
Support business initiatives by providing timely and pragmatic operational privacy assessments.
Maintain core systems of record for privacy programs (data map, data transfers mechanisms, cookie registry, etc.).
Contribute to the evolution of the privacy program by identifying and defining areas for improvement, conducting gap analyses and putting new procedures in place to mitigate privacy risk across the company.
