About the Organization
Prison Fellowship is the nation’s largest Christian nonprofit equipping the Church to serve currently and formerly incarcerated people and their families, and to advocate for justice and human dignity. Prison Fellowship and its church partners encounter Jesus with those behind bars, breaking cycles of crime and prayerfully anticipating a revival of justice, mercy, and hope in our culture.
Prison Fellowship’s mission is to encounter Jesus with those impacted by incarceration. Its vision is to see a revival of the Church inside and outside prison that brings justice, mercy, and hope to our culture.
The ministry is founded on the conviction that all people are created in God’s image and that no life is beyond God’s reach. Prison Fellowship believes a restorative approach to incarceration can make communities safer and healthier and can replace cycles of crime with cycles of renewal.
