Training

• Week 1: Classroom Training
• Week 2: Shadowing & Hands-On Learning

Schedule

Monday-Friday Approx. 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (varies based on selected lunch schedule)

What You'll Do

• Process prior authorizations accurately and efficiently.
• Review step therapy requirements, payer policies, and medication preferences.
• Manage appeals and denials while following payer guidelines.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine in-network and out-of-network coverage.
• Evaluate medical and pharmacy benefits to determine treatment eligibility.
• Collaborate with providers, patients, clinical teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate complex cases and resolve authorization challenges.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Salesforce and other systems.
• Prioritize workload to ensure timely follow-up and completion of authorizations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent medical insurance, prior authorization, or claims experience
• Direct experience with prior authorizations and biologic therapies
• Medical Assistant certification or formal training required
• Experience with Salesforce, WeInfuse, AMD, EMRs, and/or practice management systems
• Strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience in one or more specialty areas:

• Rheumatology
• Gastroenterology
• Dermatology
• Neurology
• Immunology
