About the Role:Nystrom Publishing Co is looking for a talented and driven Print Shop Manager to lead our production team in Maple Grove, MN. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a dynamic print operation and make a real impact in a creative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day print shop operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and production output
- Manage and mentor print shop staff, ensuring quality performance and a positive team culture
- Monitor and maintain printing equipment, coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs as needed
- Ensure all print jobs meet quality control standards, deadlines, and client specifications
- Manage inventory of paper, ink, and other print supplies, coordinating vendor relationships and procurement
- Collaborate with sales, design, and prepress teams to ensure seamless job handoffs and accurate production
- Track production costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Requirements:- 3+ years of experience in print production, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
- Proficiency with offset, digital, or wide-format printing equipment and processes
- Strong knowledge of prepress workflows, color management, and finishing techniques
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple jobs simultaneously
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a production team
- Familiarity with print management software and MIS systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
