Documentation Specialist

Position Summary
The Documentation Specialist serves as the primary printing resource supporting internal partners across the Morrisville, Dublin, Phoenix, and Tristar offices. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely production of shipping documentation required for both hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
As a customer-focused professional, the Documentation Specialist maintains a positive attitude, demonstrates a collaborative approach, and contributes to a supportive team environment. This position also supports general operational activities and helps ensure that printing processes and workflows run efficiently and effectively.
Core Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that all shipping documentation for hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments is printed accurately and on time. This is a critical compliance function, as proper documentation is legally required for the transportation of hazardous materials and waste.
Documentation & Printing
- Generate and print shipping papers, hazardous waste manifests, labels, and other required documentation for outbound waste shipments.
- Ensure all printed documents are accurate, complete, and distributed in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to support business operations and compliance requirements.
Regulatory Compliance
- Verify that shipping documents meet applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Support compliance with regulations established by agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
- Assist in maintaining documentation practices that support safe and compliant waste transportation activities.
Operational Support
- Provide administrative and clerical support to facility operations teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address printing needs and resolve documentation issues.
- Support daily operational activities to ensure efficient workflow and uninterrupted service.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) regulations.
- Understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
