    Shape the future of secure communications for the world"s most critical missions. As a Principal Technical Business Developer for AWS Wickr | TEMEG, you define strategy and lead customers and cross-functional teams to solve problems of high ambiguity and high impact.

    You own the strategic roadmap and drive cross-organizational alignment on priorities and delivery. You leverage deep technical expertise and executive-level stakeholder management to deliver solutions from concept through customer adoption. You bring proven experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and apply that expertise to commercial and government customers. You are data- and metric-driven, and relentlessly focused on performance in resource-constrained environments.

    AWS Wickr is an end-to-end encrypted collaboration platform trusted by organizations with the most stringent security requirements. With 256-bit encryption, US and Global security level certifications such as FedRAMP, and deployment options spanning cloud-native to tactical environments, Wickr protects critical communications for customers that cannot compromise on security. We deliver secure messaging, voice and video calling, file sharing, and screen sharing-all protected by encryption where only intended recipients hold the decryption keys.

    This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

    Key job responsibilities

    This role requires working across business, product, and engineering teams - bringing the voice of the customer to drive solutions while communicating critical business needs to senior leadership.

    • Define and execute the business development strategy for AWS Wickr | TEMEG across commercial and government sectors, owning the full lifecycle from opportunity identification through deal closure
    • Serve as the primary executive interface with customers, translating mission-critical requirements into product roadmap priorities for engineering teams
    • Drive cross-organizational alignment across product, engineering, sales, and partner teams to deliver integrated solutions
    • Build and manage a pipeline of strategic opportunities, communicating status, risks, and growth trajectory to senior AWS leadership
    • Identify and cultivate partner ecosystem relationships that accelerate market adoption and expand Wickr | TEMEG footprint in high-security environments
    • Own business metrics and deliver data-driven recommendations that influence investment decisions at the organizational level
    • Mentor and develop junior business development team members, raising the bar on strategic thinking across the organization

    A day in the life

    Your week balances strategic customer engagement with internal product influence. You might start Monday in a classified briefing with a DoD or IC customer, translating their operational challenges into solution requirements. By midweek, you"re leading a product review with Wickr engineering, advocating for features that address gaps you"ve identified in the field. You regularly present pipeline updates and strategic recommendations to AWS senior leadership, and you collaborate with partner teams to architect joint solutions for tactical and enterprise environments. No two weeks look the same - but every week, you"re driving decisions that shape how the world"s most security-conscious organizations communicate.
