    Camgian is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Architect to support c-UAS, IAMD, & Multi-Domain Systems. As a Principal Systems Engineering Architect, the successful candidate will lead mission architecture and technical integration of REACTOR and its Cognitive Decision Aids (CDAs) across c-UAS, IAMD, and broader multi-domain missions.

    The successful candidate will work across mission engineering, software-intensive systems, C2 integration, sensor/track data, and AI-enabled decision support. This role ensures REACTOR capabilities such as threat prioritization, weapon-target assignment, flight-path prediction, and future course-of-action aids are operationally meaningful, coherent, testable, and extensible. Strong collaboration across product, engineering, AI/ML, integration, test, customers, and leadership is essential.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in systems engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related technical field with at least 10 years of applicable experience; or a masters degree with at least 8 years
    • Strong systems engineering experience spanning mission analysis, architecture, requirements, interfaces, integration, verification/validation, and operational evaluation
    • Experience architecting or integrating software-intensive defense or mission systems involving sensors, tracks, C2, effectors, or decision-support capabilities
    • Working knowledge of c-UAS, air and missile defense, kill-chain / kill-web concepts, or closely related mission systems
    • Hands-on project experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering / Model-Based Engineering methods using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or comparable platforms
    • Experience developing system or software architectures using MBSE/MDE tools and languages such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect, SysML, UML, or equivalent
    • Experience defining interfaces and data exchanges and performing technical trade studies across mission performance, integration risk, cybersecurity, and deployment constraints
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional technical stakeholders and drive decisions to closure

    Desired Skills and Domain Experience

    • Hands-on experience with c-UAS, IAMD, counter-rocket/artillery/mortar, air defense, fires, or multi-domain C2 systems
    • Knowledge of target tracking, sensor fusion, combat identification, threat evaluation, engagement planning, weapon-target assignment, or engagement timeline analysis
    • Experience integrating with military C2 ecosystems, tactical networks, sensor/effector systems, or common tactical data/message standards
    • Experience with AI/ML-enabled mission applications, including uncertainty, explainability, human-machine teaming, performance characterization, and operational test considerations
    • Experience with mission or digital engineering, simulation, requirements traceability, or model-based test and evaluation
    • Familiarity with DevSecOps, cloud/edge deployment, containerized services, distributed data architectures, and degraded or disconnected operations
    • Active or recent DoD security clearance

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead system and mission architecture for REACTOR deployments and product extensions across c-UAS, IAMD, and multi-domain mission problems
    • Translate operational concepts, mission threads, customer needs, and product objectives into architectures, system requirements, interfaces, and measurable acceptance criteria
    • Architect end-to-end decision workflows and define how REACTOR CDAs consume mission, sensor, track, policy, and resource information to support operator decisions and automation
    • Develop and maintain MBSE artifacts and ensure coherence across system/software architecture, AI/ML components, data models, cybersecurity, interfaces, and deployment environments
    • Define interface control needs and data contracts for sensors, track sources, C2 systems, effectors, and external systems; promote MOSA principles and reusable services across domains
    • Partner with Product Management and feature leads to define implementable features, verification plans, demos, and acceptance criteria; perform trade studies and drive technical risk reduction
    • Lead or support integration planning, technical reviews, verification and validation, test events, demonstrations, and operational performance analysis
    • Serve as a senior systems engineering and architecture authority, mentoring teams and communicating technical recommendations, tradeoffs, and mission concepts to customers and leadership
