Job Summary

The STP (Source To Pay) CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) Business Process Analyst, Principal, will play a pivotal role in the Propel program, leading the implementation of Icertis (Contract Lifecycle Management) as part of a broader business and technology modernization effort. This role requires a deep understanding of contract management processes and a general understanding of Source to Pay (STP) processes and solutions including requisition to approval, PO management, guided buying, catalogs, services procurement, and supporting systems (Ariba, SAP). The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic objectives and will be responsible for ensuring alignment with Propel's goals of standardizing business processes, enhancing data quality, and enabling technological innovation for the future state STP design.

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is a cross-functional organization leading the Propel program, a major business and technology modernization initiative designed to unlock customer value by simplifying collaborative work processes. Propel will migrate to the new version of SAP, S/4HANA, presenting a unique opportunity to standardize business processes, clean the technology core, and enable innovation for breakthrough change across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Through a phased approach, Propel will implement process standardization, operating model changes, data improvements, SAP, and other technology applications with a focus on incrementally improving business capabilities and delivering value.

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is comprised of multi-disciplinary coworkers with deep functional and industry expertise to design and implement end-to-end business processes and technology solutions following industry-leading practices. The team partners closely with IT and external partners to work collaboratively with many stakeholders to adopt standard processes and maximize the use of out-of-the-box proven technology solutions to meet business needs. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland based on business needs or company requirements. The STP CLM Business Process Analyst, Principal, will report directly to the STP Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recognized Contract Lifecycle Management subject matter expert who represents procurement teams and stakeholders in the overall S/4HANA Modernization program
  • Supports all project phases as representative of the procurement process in design workshops, socialization, and confirmation, business requirements for L3/L4 processes
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities within the new tool to accelerate value realization
  • Facilitates socialization of future state design concepts with peers
  • Validates/confirms business requirements against documented regulations and procedures
  • Identify gaps and cross functional design requirements and solve unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions
  • Performs root cause analysis on the most complex processes that have cross functional impact
  • Works with senior management to support strategic planning and decision making in relation to organizational and cross functional business processes
  • May manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on Icertis CLM implementation experience
  • Business process design/mapping and process improvement
  • Strong Contract Management/CLM experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, Source-to-Pay experience
  • AI/automation experience and ability to identify AI opportunities
  • Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification
  • Proven track record of successfully working in cross-functional projects and teams

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • LSS Green Belt (required)
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree (preferred)

Required Experience

  • 8 years of related or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience either working in Icertis CLM or supporting an Icertis implementation
