Purpose of Position
Drive incremental revenue by working with clients and prospects to understand and address their business challenges. The Principal Solutions Consultant will help clients define specifications and requirements, build customized demonstrations of OpenText products and applications, and deliver business and technology presentations to technical, management-level, and executive audiences. This role is expected to lead complex solution discussions, articulate business value, and support strategic transformation initiatives across SAP, Content Management, Experience, and AI-enabled information management solutions.
Primary Duties
Work closely with Client Executives and Sales Solution Executives to support pre-sales activities by providing business and technical recommendations, solution guidance, and configuration scenarios to prospective clients. Create and present customized, solution-oriented demonstrations and lead proofs of concept, including PoC scope definition, success criteria, solution configuration, execution planning, client stakeholder alignment, and outcome presentation. Research and respond to technical inquiries from clients and prospects, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. Lead complex solution architecture discussions and align OpenText capabilities with client business priorities, technical requirements, and strategic outcomes. Collaborate with Professional Services, Product Management, partners, and other internal stakeholders to develop and deliver client solutions. Contribute to OpenText's body of knowledge by providing feedback to management and other parts of the organization, including input to product development teams on future enhancements, quarterly win/loss reports, participation in internal working teams, and other activities designated by management. Drive revenue growth through value-based selling, business outcome alignment, and effective executive engagement. Prepare and deliver formal business and technical presentations to prospects and clients. Develop expertise in specific technology areas and vertical markets, including SAP, Content Management, Experience, and AI-enabled solutions. Work with current and prospective clients to map business requirements to OpenText SAP Solutions, Content Management, and Experience solution features and functions. Position integrated solutions that connect enterprise content, digital experience, communications, and business process requirements. Stay current on new product features, AI-enabled solution capabilities, modern SAP architectures, Experience solution capabilities, and competitor offerings. Serve as the technical liaison between clients, partners, and technical support. Travel within the assigned region as required.
Skills and Knowledge
Academic
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
