Overview
The Access Management Team builds identity and access governance products within Microsoft Entra. Microsoft Entra Identity Governance helps customers manage the identity and access lifecycle across their organizations, including employees, partners, agents, and other non-human identities.
We are looking for an action-oriented Principal Software Engineering Manager to lead the expansion of our governance solutions across human and non-human identities accessing applications, directories, and resources in customers' cloud and hybrid environments. In this role, you will have opportunities to collaborate across Microsoft and with a broad ecosystem of industry partners that build leading business applications, helping deliver comprehensive identity and access management and governance solutions.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
4+ years of people management experience leading software engineering teams, including developing talent, fostering innovation, and delivering results through leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
6+ years of experience designing, building, or operating commercial software applications, cloud services, or large-scale distributed systems.
Experience with identity and access management, identity governance, or related security products and services.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
