    Description

    OCI is looking for an Infrastructure Capacity Planner to support edge, backbone, and IP capacity planning for OCI's global network. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in large-scale network infrastructure while contributing to the planning and delivery of capacity needed to support OCI's continued growth.

    The Infrastructure Capacity Planner will analyze network demand, utilization, and infrastructure needs across defined edge and backbone domains. Working with experienced planners, network engineers, sourcing teams, and other stakeholders, this individual will help develop capacity plans, support investment decisions, and identify opportunities to improve network performance, scalability, and reliability.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in network planning, network engineering, capacity planning, telecommunications, IP networking, or a related technical field.
    • Familiarity with IP networking concepts, backbone or edge network infrastructure, and network capacity or traffic analysis.
    • Exposure to IP transit, peering, fiber, wavelength, or transport-network planning is preferred.
    • Ability to analyze technical and operational data, identify trends, and communicate clear findings and recommendations.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document assumptions, findings, and planning recommendations.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
