    Description

    The Outbound and Flow team within the Amazon Fulfillment Technologies team is looking for an experienced Product Manager who will contribute to the vision and strategy of our products. Our team provides products and services responsible for outbound fulfillment - they ingest shipments from upstream systems (SCOT) and process them through picking, packing and shipping. Our vision is to improve customer experience - Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA), Speed, Quality and Cost, while improving associate safety and simplifying our operations. We do so by building products that are highly reliable, resilient, self-healing, scalable, extensible, and designed with focus on the safety and accessibility of our workforce from the start.

    As a Principal Product Manager, you will drive innovative product features that help us deliver on this vision. You will work on identifying opportunities to make our FC operations more efficient, and drive design and development of software features to address these opportunities. You will drive the design and buildout of features to streamline Fulfillment center (FC) operations across different types and WW regions, while leveraging and expanding current initiatives in Primitives and GenAI across the organization. You will also serve as a product lead for cross outbound and flow initiatives that span multiple director portfolios

    Key job responsibilities

    Your specific responsibilities include:

    • Setting a holistic vision for your products and technologies in development -- or haven"t been invented yet.
    • Managing relationships and reporting with leadership across AFT and our customers / stakeholders
    • Driving strategy and planning for expansion and year-over-year investments across initiatives.
    • Developing strong internal relationships with key internal stakeholders and drive cross-team and cross-org alignment.
    • Establishing priorities across multiple workstreams and initiatives.
    • Finding creative ways to unblock challenges that arise and deciding when to escalate.
    • Working closely with Product Managers, Software Development, Operations, Science, and EHS teams to ensure investments and develop deliver on strategic goals.
    • Reporting (monthly and quarterly business reviews, yearly strategy documents).

    AFT owns and operates the AFT Warehouse Management System (WMS) and select hardware- these technologies automate, orchestrate, and direct fulfillment in Amazon Robotics sort and non-sort buildings, traditional sort and non-sort buildings, IXDs, Fresh, Pantry, and Quick Deploy sites. AFT also owns and operates the FaaST Warehouse Management System (WMS) that runs in Vendor Flex buildings, India Mini-FCs (small footprint, manual buildings in IN), and select Seller Flex locations (3P Sellers who are Prime enabled leveraging the FaaST WMS). AFT also owns the External Fulfillment Platform (EFP), a technology that integrates 3P WMSes to the Amazon Supply Chain. AFT owns network infrastructure and devices in all building types including Sort Centers and Last Mile sites and owns labor planning and scheduling technology that is leveraged for Fulfillment Centers in NA and EU and Sort Centers in NA.
