    Description

Amazon Games (Luna) is seeking a Principal Product Manager - Technical to define and lead our AI Productivity and Workflow Transformation strategy.

In this role, you will own a portfolio of high-impact opportunities to improve velocity, efficiency, and quality across product, business development, engineering, marketing, business insights, and other functions. You will work backward from the needs of internal teams, identify where AI can create meaningful value, and redesign workflows around the combined strengths of people, AI, and automation.

You will translate ambiguous opportunities into clear product and technical requirements, rapidly validate solutions through prototypes and experiments, and partner with engineering and business teams to move successful concepts into production. The goal is not to introduce AI into existing processes incrementally, but to fundamentally improve how work is performed and create reusable capabilities that scale across teams.

Example initiatives may include redesigning marketing campaign development through agentic workflows, accelerating game porting and development pipelines, and creating reusable AI-enabled patterns for research, insights, content development, and decision-making.

This role requires a product leader who combines strong strategic judgment, technical fluency, hands-on experience applying AI, and the ability to lead organizational change. You will operate across organizational boundaries, influence senior leaders, and remain accountable from opportunity identification through implementation, adoption, and measurable impact. Success will be defined not by the number of tools or pilots launched, but by sustained improvements in business outcomes and durable AI-enabled ways of working that compound over time.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Own the strategy, roadmap, customer research, and goals for AI-enabled productivity and workflow transformation across Luna.
    • Identify and prioritize high-friction workflows using clear baselines and expected business impact.
    • Redesign end-to-end workflows and translate opportunities into scalable product and technical requirements.
    • Prototype with AI tools and partner with technical teams to move successful solutions into production.
    • Create reusable patterns and leverage shared capabilities across Amazon and relevant external partners.
    • Measure adoption and impact across cycle time, cost, quality, capacity, and customer or employee experience.
    • Drive organizational change and align customers on priorities, tradeoffs, roles, and ownership.
    • Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical opportunities and advise leadership on investments, risks, and tradeoffs.

So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
