As a Principal Partner Enablement Program Manager on our team, you will lead silicon planning and co-engineering with one or more silicon partners. You will dive into the intricacies of silicon & software interaction and, by collaborating and working closely with technical teams and disciplines at Microsoft & silicon partners, drive from vision to execution to release new Windows PCs and experiences tightly integrated with partners’ silicon designs. Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead practices and rhythm of business for efficient and productive co-engineering engagement with silicon partners, to identify joint investment areas from inception to market and to drive collaboration with engineering ensuring recommendations & plans that address these areas are successfully pushed through to the development lifecycle. 
  • You will ensure deep understanding of silicon partner products and roadmaps as you assess cross-dependencies between silicon productization, operating system (OS) planning/development/release, & applications and drive both internal & external consensus to resolving these. 
  • You’ll coordinate with silicon partners when they come across issues and areas for improvement in their products/services (both in-development and in-market) and analyze blockers and their impact, assembling potential resolutions. 
  • You will create requirements for and oversee implementation/maintenance of tools and infrastructure supporting co-engineering engagement and efficiency between Windows and silicon partners. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., hardware, systems engineering), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering.
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years experience in hardware/software product/service/project/program management or cross-group/cross-functional engineering.
    • OR equivalent experience. 
  • Understanding of both software and hardware lifecycles and interplay between software and hardware development and schedules. 
  • Proficiency with issue tracking and project management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO). 
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to articulate business problems, alternatives, and product strategy. 
  • Experience influencing without authority and driving cross-functional alignment. 

Partner Enablement Program Mgmt IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
