Executive Summary: Our client is seeking a Principal Cyber and Network Architect with an active Top Secret Security Clearance for a key role at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) in Bedford, MA. This senior-level position involves a broad scope of responsibilities within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, driving innovation, security, and modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems supporting business processes and emerging technologies.
Develop enterprise reference models and maintain information within the IT repository.
Assess gaps between current and target architectures; recommend transition strategies.
Recommend policies and principles to guide enterprise-wide technology decisions.
Coordinate and conduct governance and portfolio management activities to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture.
Enforce the rigorous application of cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices across all architectural components.
Collaborate with the Identity, Credentials, and Access Management (ICAM) team to ensure cross-division and cloud usability (connected and disconnected environments).
Plan and execute a Department of the Air Force (DAF) Zero Trust architecture roadmap.
Lead modernization efforts, particularly within the division's Digital Engineering strategy using SysML.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Technical Experience:
Clearance: Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's degree preferred
10+ years of proven experience in network architecture
Minimum of 5 years working in the DoD or DoD-related environments
Demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, Zero Trust, ICAM, and digital engineering (SysML preferred)
