Position Overview
This role provides technical leadership and project oversight, ensuring mechanical designs are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while leading a small team of engineers and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as Mechanical Lead on EPC power and industrial projects
Lead mechanical design, coordination, and technical execution
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources; provide status updates
Prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, and review vendor documentation
Develop scopes of work, job notes, and engineering deliverables
Conduct field walkdowns and support constructability reviews
Lead and mentor engineers and designers; review technical work
Interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Support proposals, including man-hour estimates
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements
Seal and sign engineering documents (PE), as applicable
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
15+ years of experience in power, energy, or industrial sectors
Strong experience with:
Heat exchangers, pumps, and rotating equipment
ASME pressure vessels and piping systems
Power plant equipment (CTGs, STGs, HRSGs)
Knowledge of ASME codes and EPC execution
Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience leading mechanical scope on combined cycle EPC projects
