Tintri is looking for a Principal Integration Engineer to own the design, development, and certification of storage integrations with Broadcom's VMware portfolio (vSphere, VCF, Aria, SRM) and Microsoft Hyper-V. You will be the technical authority across the full product lifecycle - from SDK evaluation through Broadcom Compatibility Guide (BCG) submission - and will mentor other engineers on the team. This is a hands-on engineering role: you'll write production-quality code, navigate partner certification programmes, and work directly with Broadcom and Microsoft alliance counterparts.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and deliver SRM Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) updates for VCF 9, following VMware SRA API specifications
    • Lead Aria Operations (vROps) MP adapter development against the v9 SDK, including metric model redesign and adapter framework migration
    • Maintain and extend rVCP (Remote Virtual Compute Provider) plugin for VCF 9 compatibility, security patches, and bug fixes
    • Maintain VAAI and NAS integrations for vSphere 8/9 and ensure BCG listing currency
    • Drive SMB 3.x / ODX integration updates for Microsoft Hyper-V 2025, including Windows Admin Center plugin compatibility
    • Manage SVVP (Server Virtualisation Validation Programme) submissions and renewal cycles
    • Define integration architecture patterns, coding standards, and test frameworks for the Ecosystem team
    • Evaluate new partner SDK releases and communicate technical impact to product management and engineering leadership

    Required Qualifications

    • 8+ years of systems or storage software engineering experience
    • Deep hands-on experience with VMware vSphere APIs (VAAI, NFS, VASA, SRA) and the vCenter SDK
    • Demonstrated experience delivering SRM Storage Replication Adapters through BCG certification
    • Proficiency in Java and/or C++ for storage integration development; Python for automation
    • Practical knowledge of VCF architecture (management domain, workload domains, SDDC Manager)
    • Experience with Aria Operations (vROps) Management Pack development - adapter SDK, resource model, traversal specs
    • Familiarity with Hyper-V integration points: SMB 3.x, ODX, Hyper-V Replica, WAC extension model
    • Strong grasp of storage fundamentals: NAS/NFS, block, snapshots, replication, thin provisioning

    Preferred Qualifications

    • VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) or equivalent deep practitioner credential
    • Experience with VCF 9 pre-release or early-access programmes
    • Prior work submitting to both BCG and SVVP certification programmes
    • Exposure to Kubernetes CSI driver development (helpful for cross-team collaboration)
    • Experience in an ISV or storage vendor engineering team
