Description

Scope:

  • Understand mobile and web product strategy
  • Write functional and technical requirements for new digital product features
  • Refine functional and technical requirements for existing digital product features
  • Liaison with team to communicate feature definitions to engineers, product managers, and quality assurance

Required:

  • 3-5 years experience in similar roles
  • Experience: shipping mobile and web software in a regulated environment
  • Experience: rapid ideation, problem solving, and product definition
  • Experience: Ability to create new features from scratch from the idea phase, vs. product ownership and refinement of existing products.
  • Experience: Required experience creating new products; not managing incremental change to existing products
  • Skills: problem solving, attention to detail, teamwork, creativity

Preferred:

  • Previous experience creating digital healthcare products
  • Previous experience launching digital healthcare products to market with user adoption

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the timely delivery of digital products and software on behalf of the business owner and product and engineering/IT teams across the entire Product or Platform organization.
  • Ensures team performance and adherence to enterprise methods for requirements gathering, validation, maintenance, and tracking.
  • Partners with Senior Director, Director, and other Principal level roles in Product Management to create and foster best practices ensuring team processes are in place.
  • Works with product managers to define and maintain product roadmaps and manages resource allocation and forecasting to deliver projects.
  • Collaborates with other Principal level roles assigned to portfolio(s) to ensure delivery management through financial, development, and resource management.
  • Identifies and manages dependencies between teams and between products, platforms, and operations at the enterprise level.
  • Reports on comprehensive product progress and resolves or escalates risks and issues to Senior Director, Director, and executive leadership as needed.
  • Acts as a leader in Agile product life-cycle management and develops tool sets, frameworks, and best practices to support delivery management teams.
  • Stays informed on product and platform architecture needs to proactively identify and alleviate organizational bottlenecks and support critical deadlines.
  • Co-leads the Delivery Management Chapter to develop, promote, and evolve soft and hard skills to identify and mitigate risk throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Actively supports a culture of empowered teams and builds, retains, coaches, and mentors Delivery colleagues and Scrum team members.
  • Creates frameworks, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistent and best in class delivery management methodologies.
  • Partners closely with organization-wide IT and Engineering leadership to support enterprise coordination efforts and priorities.
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external partners to maximize delivery management support and impact.
  • Ensures delivery of high-value products aligned with business goals and user experience optimization.
  • Leads daily Scrum ceremonies and advocates for iterative design, build, and testing of end-user solutions based on requirements, pain points, and change requests.
  • Collaborates with Product Managers in backlog grooming, roadmap definition, sprint backlog grooming, end of sprint demos, and retrospectives.
  • Produces and socializes Scrum metrics including velocity, capacity, and burn down charts.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in product management for life sciences, healthcare payor, or regulated industries including commodities, banking, information managed systems for digital education, government, or non-profit sectors.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

  • Strong familiarity with Scrum - Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (ACSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP).
