Position Summary
Works under the supervisor to coordinate and assist the activities of the assigned courtroom or court related support network.
Pay Grade: 44 Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Minimum Qualifications Four (4) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work; AND High school diploma or possess a GED. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides courtroom assistance as related to daily clerical activities within each courtroom. Records case dispositions and court orders and arranges for payment of fees. Examines legal documents submitted to the court for adherence to court or law procedures. Prepares dockets or calendar of cases to be called, entering decisions and continuances in a computer program. Provides information to various state and county officials. Enters various court information into computer. Secures information for Chancellor, contact attorneys and litigants for court and instructs parties when to appear in court. Relieves courtroom personnel as required. Administers oath to witnesses, attorneys and litigants. Performs other related duties as required or directed.

Special Requirements
May be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends on a rotational basis. May be required to work in the 24-hour office.

The residency requirement shall not apply to certain public safety/civil service employees.
