Description
- Lead the development and execution of the organization's automation and controls strategy.
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing automation systems to improve safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain controls architecture standards across the operation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, equipment performance, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical leadership on automation projects from concept through implementation and startup.
- Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot complex controls and automation issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend automation solutions that support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering and manufacturing teams.
Profile
- 8+ years of Controls and Automation Engineering experience.
- Strong experience within a manufacturing environment; industry background is flexible.
- Demonstrated expertise in automation systems, controls architecture, and industrial control technologies.
- Proven ability to lead automation improvements and complex engineering initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
