Your expertise secures the control systems that power real-world operations. ABS Group is looking for a Principal Consultant to serve as the on-the-ground OT cybersecurity expert for a major industrial client, operating at the intersection of cybersecurity, control systems engineering, and regulatory compliance. You'll advise on ICS/DCS security controls, strengthen asset and vulnerability management programs, support MTSA compliance efforts, and drive program maturity - all while mentoring team members and identifying opportunities to grow the client relationship. The role offers a hybrid schedule (two weeks onsite in southeast Texas, two weeks remote) and a front-row seat to some of the most consequential cybersecurity work in industrial operations.
What You Will Do:- Serve as a technical resource on project tasks to help ensure quality services are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with client requirements.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager and assist with defining, sequencing, and estimating project tasks as part of project planning.
- Review project plans to understand scope, schedule, deliverables, and assigned responsibilities.
- Participate in client and project team meetings and collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Assist with research, data analysis, and stakeholder or customer analysis to support project execution and recommendations.
- Prepare written documents, reports, presentations, and other client deliverables; assist in presenting results and recommendations to clients.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of project deliverables and ensure work products meet agreed expectations.
- Accurately track project hours and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and adapting to changing client needs.
- Demonstrate understanding of ABS Group products and services and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency across the business unit.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to support business development and delivery of current and additional services.
- Participate in proposal development, marketing activities, conference presentations, technical papers, and networking efforts to promote ABS Group capabilities.
- ICS/OT Cybersecurity Focus
- Support ICS/OT cybersecurity activities within capital projects, operational programs, and compliance-related initiatives in industrial environments.
- Serve as a cybersecurity advisor to control systems and project teams, helping align security, operational, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity, control systems, IT, operations, and other stakeholders to support project execution and client outcomes.
- Contribute to cybersecurity-related documentation, compliance support activities, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support identification of client needs and service opportunities related to industrial cybersecurity, control systems, and operational resilience.
Education and Experience - 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Must have an advanced degree or bachelor's degree and equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance required.
