An investment and technology organization is seeking a senior Cloud Platform Architect to establish cloud architecture standards and technical direction across a complex AWS and Azure environment.
This principal-level individual contributor will design governance controls, scalable infrastructure patterns, secure cloud networking, and managed Kubernetes architectures. The position combines strategic technical decision-making with hands-on infrastructure experience and close collaboration with engineering teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Define cloud architecture standards and reusable design patterns across AWS and Azure.
- Establish cloud governance, security guardrails, and policy-as-code controls.
- Design landing zones, account and subscription structures, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Architect managed Kubernetes platforms, including AKS/EKS lifecycle and operational patterns.
- Lead hybrid-cloud connectivity, networking, routing, and identity architecture.
- Own Terraform and Infrastructure as Code standards.
- Provide architectural guidance for cloud data platforms and emerging AI infrastructure.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and participate in difficult technical escalations.
Role Requirements- Strong production architecture experience with both AWS and Azure.
- Experience designing and implementing multi-account and multi-subscription cloud governance.
- Deep managed Kubernetes architecture expertise.
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code skills.
- Advanced cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure experience.
- Experience designing secure cloud platforms and architecture guardrails.
- Proven technical leadership and ability to influence engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on cloud or infrastructure engineering foundation.
- Excellent architecture documentation and communication skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE- HPC or GPU infrastructure experience.
- AI inference or model-hosting infrastructure.
- Production cloud data platforms.
- Regulated or high-availability infrastructure environments.
- Relevant cloud architecture certifications and advanced networking qualifications.
