Prin Test Engineer

An engineer with a strong combination of manufacturing test development expertise and optical measurement knowledge, including LED emitters, spectroscopy, sensor technology, signal processing, and measurement uncertainty, who can bridge the gap between R&D concepts and production-ready manufacturing test systems. Direct optical experience would be valuable, but a strong manufacturing Test/Application Engineer with measurement-system development experience could onboard with technical guidance from our internal sensor expert and product experts.

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Prin Test Engineer  with our medical device client in Tempe, AZ. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.


Pay:$60.00 - $80.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.


Description:

Desired Experience Profile:

• Manufacturing Test Engineering and Test Application Development
• LabVIEW, TestStand, MATLAB, and instrument integration
• Test methodology development, measurement system analysis (MSA), Gauge R&R, and uncertainty analysis
• Development of manufacturing test limits, guard bands, and validation strategies
• Requirements definition, URS/SRS development, verification, and validation

 

Domain Expertise:

• LED emitter characterization and optical measurement systems
• Spectroscopy and spectrometer integration
• Optical sensor technologies and photonics-based measurement systems
• Understanding of factors affecting optical measurements, including temperature, drive current, fixturing, alignment, and environmental conditions
• Statistical analysis of measurement variation, repeatability, reproducibility, and yield performance
• Experience translating R&D laboratory measurement methods into robust high-volume manufacturing test solutions
