    Annual Salary Range:$113,300 - $166,300

    *Salary commensurate with education and experience.

    Job Summary

    As a Prime Financial Manager (PFM) at BPMI, you will provide centralized financial governance, project-level risk management (technical and financial), and strategic financial insight to drive project execution and long-term financial resilience of prime contracts. This role oversees the financial health of assigned projects, maintains the project risk posture, evaluates funding opportunities, and collaborates with technical and project leadership to support informed financial decision-making. The PFM interfaces with NR/NRLFO, Industrial Base Management (IBM), Prime Contract Management Board (PCMB)/Contract Cost Management Board (CCMB), and equipment departments to ensure accurate, timely, and forward-looking financial management and prime contract health.

    Essential Duties:

    Financial Governance and Oversight
    • Provide centralized financial oversight, including Materials & Services (M&S) and Labor, for assigned projects.
    • Manage the project's Emergent & Supplemental (E&S) pool including developing new Prime E&S recommendations and making financial usage recommendations to NR.
    • Evaluate anticipated financial exposure and historical project risk trends to shape financial decisions.
    • Support overall cost management and financial tracking in collaboration with project leadership.
    Risk Management
    • Maintain and update the project's risk registry on a quarterly basis.
    • Review risk inputs from departments and support stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment.
    • Determine when risks may be retired and when funds may be reallocated for company usage and unfunded opportunities.
    • Contribute to assessments of financial risk for procurements.
    Strategic Analysis and Recommendations
    • Trend and analyze historical financial and risk data for inclusion in the risk registry.
    • Recommend unfunded opportunities for PCMB/CCMB consideration in collaboration with IBM.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations that influence project direction and resource utilization.
    Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary interface for NR regarding financial governance and E&S usage.
    • Collaborate with company stakeholders to integrate financial insights with technical and schedule information.
    • Make recommendations to PCMB/CCMB on financial priorities, risk retirement, and unfunded opportunities.
    • Communicate financial status, risks, and recommendations through reports, presentations, and briefings.
    Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and maintain financial reporting, including quarterly risk registry updates.
    • Ensure documentation meets organizational standards and supports effective financial decision-making.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
    • A minimum of twelve (12) years of business and financial data analysis experience required.
    • Twenty (20) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
    • Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial and risk data to varied stakeholders.
    • Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
