Center of Hope, part of Saint Francis, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to support continued primary care expansion and access initiatives across the Delaware market.

Full-service Family Medicine Center providing primary care to a medically underserved population in the Newark area, with a strong focus on the Latino community. The practice emphasizes cultural component care, supported by a bilingual care team committed to delivering inclusive, patient-centered services.

The Opportunity

  • Bilingual Clinical Care: Conduct full medical interviews, examinations, and treatment plans natively in Spanish to ensure clear communication and eliminate the need for third-party translators.
  • Culturally Tailored Disease Management: Manage high-prevalence conditions within the Latino communitysuch as type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, advanced hypertension, and asthmausing culturally relevant dietary and lifestyle counseling.
  • Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Navigation: Screen for and address specific regional barriers, including multi-generational housing needs, lack of health insurance, immigration-related stress, and food insecurity. 
  • Trust & Community Building: Utilize culturally resonant communication (such as personalismo and respeto) to build long-term, trusting relationships with patients and their extended families.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with bilingual social workers, community health workers (promotores de salud), and behavioral health specialists to provide holistic care.
  • Resource Optimization: Navigate financial barriers by utilizing sliding fee scales, prescribing low-cost generics, and leveraging local community-based assistance programs.
  • EHR Documentation: Maintain precise electronic health records 

Schedule & Call

  • Full-time outpatient schedule (36 patient-facing hours)
  • Flexible scheduling options available
  • Minimal call responsibilities (1:2 call schedule), phone-only

Recruitment package 

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group offers a competitive salary and compensation package based on training and clinical experience including:
