    Family Medicine Physician - St. Charles Health System

    Location: Madras, OR
    Position Type: Full-Time

    Join St. Charles Health System in Madras, Oregon—a community-focused healthcare organization dedicated to better health, better care, and better value. We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician interested in outpatient care and inpatient/hospitalist shifts. There is also an optional teaching opportunity with the OHSU-affiliated Three Sisters Rural Track Residency Program beginning summer 2025.

    Schedule and Work-Life Balance

    Practice Details

    • Clinic facilities: 18 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, virtual scribes, AI-assisted documentation, two medical assistants per physician, and nursing triage support
    • Procedure opportunities: Circumcisions, IUD placements, colposcopies, joint injections, laceration repair, skin biopsies, and optional colonoscopy/EGD
    • Hospital capabilities: 25-bed Critical Access facility, Level IV trauma center, with 64-slice CT, 1.5T MRI, mammography, ultrasound, and Dexascan
    • Optional inpatient care: 18-bed inpatient unit (average daily census 13), with EM physicians covering codes and intubations
    • Patient demographics: Approximately one-third Hispanic, one-third Native American, one-third Caucasian; robust interpreter services available
    • Teaching opportunity: Involvement in the Three Sisters Rural Track Residency Program as a mentor starting summer 2025

    Qualifications

    • MD or DO with active/unrestricted Oregon medical license or ability to obtain license
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine
    • DEA registration (Oregon preferred)
    • ACLS certification required; additional credentials based on practice interests
