Providence Medical Group (PMG) is seeking an experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to join our Bridge Team, an innovative group of clinicians focused on expanding patient access and supporting our primary care teams throughout Oregon.
Bridge Team providers help bridge the gap in care for patients who are waiting to establish with a new primary care provider, providing support from the time their new patient appointment is scheduled until they transition to their new PCP.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced primary care clinician who enjoys variety, values team-based care and is comfortable adapting to changing patient and clinic needs. You'll work within an integrated care model that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health, registered nurses, and a dedicated operational support team.

Why the Bridge Team?
The Bridge Team offers a different approach to primary care practice. Instead of building and maintaining your own traditional panel, you'll help increase access, support established clinic teams, and step into areas where your clinical expertise can have an immediate impact.
For a clinician who values flexibility, variety, virtual care, and collaborative practice, this role offers an opportunity to remain closely connected to patient care while working within a broader team-based model.
Where You'll Work
Providence Medical Group is an organization of employed physicians, with more than 90 clinics across the state of Oregon. Its 1,500+ providers possess a wide range of clinical expertise, including Family and Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Dermatology and Occupational Medicine. At Providence Medical Group, patients enjoy close-to-home access to dedicated providers in primary, specialty or urgent care clinics, with clinical and operational support from centralized Providence programs.
Where You'll Live
In Portland, Oregon, you'll find a perfect blend of urban excitement and natural beauty. Home to the Portland Trail Blazers, "Rip City" offers residents endless entertainment, with eclectic art and culinary scenes, sports culture and distinct neighborhood identities. Nestled between the Willamette and Columbia rivers, and just a drive away from Mt. Hood, the Columbia Gorge and the Oregon Coast, Portland offers unparalleled, year-round access to outdoor adventures.
Who You'll Work For
Providence is a nationally recognized, comprehensive healthcare organization spanning seven states with a universal mission - to provide compassionate care to all who need its services, especially the poor and vulnerable. Its 122,000-plus caregivers/employees (including 34,000 physicians) serve in 51 hospitals, more than 1,000 clinics and a comprehensive range of health and social services. As the third largest not-for-profit health system in the United States, we are committed to providing for the needs of our communities – especially for those who are poor and vulnerable – across Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
Our system includes more than 82,000 caregivers (all employees) serving in a diverse range of ministries from birth to end of life, including acute care, physician clinics, long-term and assisted living, palliative and hospice care, home health, supportive housing and education.
We operate 34 hospitals, 600 physician clinics, 22 long-term care facilities, 19 hospice and home health programs and 693 supportive housing units in 14 locations. Our health plan serves our caregivers and other large employer groups covering 513,000 members.
On any given day, we care for more than 1,200 people in our long-term care settings, more than 4,000 in our hospitals and more than 15,000 in our clinic settings. Daily, we serve more than 7,000 people in our many home health and palliative care programs and almost 800 in supportive housing. We touch more than five times as many lives in non-acute settings as we do in the traditional hospital setting.
When the Sisters arrived in the Pacific Northwest in 1856, they came to answer a call for help from a new pioneer community. What they found were many communities in need of service, and so with dedication to the Mission and collaboration with like-minded partners, their ministry grew to what is now a five-state health system.
Providence Health & Services continues a tradition of caring that the Sisters of Providence began more than 158 years ago. The cornerstone of our Mission is to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

Our benefits help us care for our employees and their families by supporting their wellness and providing tools that promote financial security and professional growth.*

We are deeply honored that Providence facilities have been distinguished with national awards and certifications. At Providence Health & Services, our dedication to excellence is evident in the service our people demonstrate every day. Here, you’ll find an environment built on the core values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence and stewardship. They are at the heart of everything we do...and others have noticed.
