Description
The Telematics Pricing Specialist works with sales and suppliers to obtain information on sales opportunities and assemble accurate and detailed pricing for customers on Tyler's Telematics products. This role involves understanding customer's needs, confirming the correct information has been collected and receiving accurate service costs able to offer precise pricing for proposals and RFP's.
Responsibilities
- Work with Tyler's sales professionals to receive the essential information to assemble pricing and use established tools and processes to verify the accuracy of the information
- Use software tools to determine the proper components required for a given proposal · Communicate with contracted installers (and potentially other suppliers) to receive pricing for projects
- Ensure that accurate pricing is being returned to sales for proposals · Manage time effectively to turn around pricing in a timely manner
- Use Excel spreadsheets to calculate pricing
- Track all pricing activity and report using Excel and other business software tools for dissemination to appropriate personnel
- Work with sales contract and finance personnel on essential communications
- Perform other job-related duties, responsibilities and special projects as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, including ability to use detailed formulas a must
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Very strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to multi-task
- Three years of buisness related experience
- Proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, PowerPoint and particularly Excel
- Supplier/service provider relations experience
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- An understanding of vehicles and in-vehicle technology
- Familiarity with mobile products and related technologies
- An understanding of financial management
- Understanding of automotive industry/technology
- Vendor relationship experience
- RFP related experience
- Team Desk experience a plus
