Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field and 1%2B years of relevant experience; or
Equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in pricing, data analysis, customer service, sales support, accounting, or related business functions.
Preferred:
Experience with SAP, Pricefx, Power BI, QlikView, or similar ERP and business intelligence tools.
Experience working with large customer accounts and high-volume transactions
Responsibilities:
As part of the CertainTeed Roofing Products Pricing Team, the Pricing Specialist is responsible for the review, management, administration, and execution of customer pricing programs, rebates, credits, and pricing-related customer support activities. This position ensures accurate and timely processing of pricing transactions while minimizing downstream adjustments and disputes.
The role supports regional sales efforts through pricing administration and maintenance, customer account maintenance, program management, and issue resolution. The Pricing Specialist serves as a key liaison between customers, Sales, Customer Master, Finance, and Management.
Job Responsibilities:
Calculate, document, analyze, and process customer credits based on distributor-submitted documentation.
Investigate, analyze, and resolve discrepancies between customer-submitted claims and CertainTeed-calculated payouts, including:
Pricing differences
Location differences
Contract interpretation issues
Transactional discrepancies
Utilize systems including Pricefx, SAP, Power BI, QlikView, Excel, and other reporting tools tvalidate claims and perform analysis.
Work directly with customers and Sales teams tresolve disputes and provide supporting documentation.
Collaborate with Sales tensure customer rebate and incentive programs are properly documented and administered.
Validate customer submissions and purchase transactions against contractual agreements.
Calculate rebate payouts accurately and process submissions in a timely manner.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between contracts, customer backup, and system transactions.
Process ad hoc credit requests with appropriate approvals and supporting documentation.
Research and resolve complex pricing issues related to:
Sales agreements
Price changes
Customer offers
Invoice discrepancies
Special pricing arrangements
Ensure pricing accuracy across customer transactions and programs.
Process new customer account requests and updates. Validate customer information for completeness and accuracy.
Respond tcustomer inquiries regarding pricing, rebates, invoice disputes, and sales support programs.
Act as a primary point of contact for pricing-related issue resolution.
